4-7 Arithmetic Sequence
In this section we first determined that an arithmetic sequence has a common difference between each term. This common difference was then called the rule of the sequence. After looking at the sequences, we noticed that the nth term could be found using the equation:
a1 + d (n - 1)
a1 is the 1st term, d is the common difference, and n is the term you want to solve for.
Ex
2, 5, 8, 11, 14...
Find the 32nd term.
2 + 3(31) = 2 + 93 = 95
